There's crazy chemistry... and a long, long wait!

Dear Diana,
I am very exhausted. I am 25 and was introduced to a 30-year-old by my parents. His family really likes me and my family likes him too. When we meet, there's an instant attraction and crazy chemistry. We have been in touch for seven months now, but he just won't propose. I feel that he's commitment phobic. I am getting very depressed, 'cause I know he likes me and everything is perfect. I am getting tired of waiting. For some reason, my luck with relationships have always been bad. I am at the point where I may have a breakdown. My parents can't wait anymore and have asked me to reject him. I really like him and I know he likes me too. Will I ever find

love? You think I should give him more time?

A Depressed Chap

Dear Friend,
The girl in your past had her chance. She threw that away. Besides it was not a romantic liaison. This much is apparent when you don't mention the word 'loved' in connection to the girl ('After a formal friendship, I proposed; she declined). That very statement speaks volumes. You let it pass. You moved on. Just because she wants to be in your life now even though you 'love' another, doesn't give you or her the right to break someone else's heart. You know what you have to do. Do the right thing.
